How to Purchase Firearms Online
We, “Sherman & Rose” sell firearms, ammo and custom firearms only in accordance with Federal, State, and Local firearm laws.
In Order to Purchase Firearms Online:
You must be 18 or older to purchase long guns and 21 or older to purchase hand guns. Check your local & state laws. You must complete the following steps listed below before we can process your order.
What to expect (quick overview)
Firearms must ship to a local FFL dealer you choose (not to your home).
Accessories and other non-FFL items ship directly to your address.
Some states require ammunition to ship to an FFL—if your state does, you’ll be asked to select an FFL for ammo at checkout.
You’ll receive email updates as your order moves through processing, shipment, and delivery.
Step-by-step: placing an order
Shop and add items to your cart.
Checkout and enter your billing/shipping information.
If your cart contains a firearm (or your state requires it for ammunition), select a receiving FFL dealer during checkout.
Submit your order and watch for your confirmation email.
Selecting your FFL dealer (for firearm orders)
Firearms cannot be delivered to a residential address. You will choose a receiving FFL dealer during checkout.
Pick an FFL that is convenient for you (near home/work).
Make sure the FFL is currently open/accepting transfers and knows you’re expecting a transfer.
Transfer fees are set by the receiving FFL and are paid to them directly (not to Sherman & Rose).
After you order: email updates you’ll receive
These are the typical order-status emails:
Order Processed: we received your order and started processing it.
Order Shipped: your order has a tracking link when available.
Order Delivered: delivered to your address (non-FFL items) or delivered to your chosen FFL (firearms / some ammo).
FFL Document Request (if needed): we may ask for a copy of the receiving dealer’s FFL license before we can complete shipment.
Pickup at your FFL (firearms, and some ammo depending on state)
When your firearm arrives at the receiving FFL:
Bring a valid government-issued photo ID and any additional documents required by your state.
The receiving FFL will run the required background check and complete paperwork before transfer.
Inspect the firearm at the FFL before you complete the transfer. If there is visible damage or the wrong item, stop and contact us immediately.
Processing & shipping timing
Processing times vary by product availability and distributor shipping timelines.
Tracking may appear later the same day or within 1–2 business days after shipment depending on carrier updates.
Delivery speed depends on carrier service level and destination.
Common issues and how to avoid delays
Wrong or closed FFL selected: contact us as soon as possible—FFL changes can delay shipment.
FFL license needed: ask your receiving FFL to email their license to us at [email protected] if requested.
Address issues (non-FFL items): double-check your shipping address at checkout.
Sales are final
All sales are final. Sherman & Rose does not accept returns or exchanges and does not issue refunds, except where required by law. Firearm transfers are regulated; once a firearm is transferred at your receiving FFL, it cannot be returned.
***Important:*** Upon arrival at your FFL, inspect your firearm to make certain that everything is acceptable before filling out the necessary paperwork. Once the transfer of the firearm is complete, the manufacturer’s warranty is then in effect and from that point on any complications with the firearm will need to be handled by the manufacturer.
