This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Sherman & Rose collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (each, a “User”) of shermanandrose.com (“Site”). This privacy policy applies to the Site and all products and services offered by Sherman & Rose.

We may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit our site, register on the site, place an order, fill out a form, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our Site. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name, email address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information and verification. Users may, however, visit our Site anonymously. We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personal identification information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site related activities.

Non-personal identification information

We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Site. We do not sell, trade, or rent Users personal identification information to others. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with our business partners, trusted affiliates and advertisers for the purposes outlined above. What we share with Google to measure and show our ads is described under “Analytics, advertising and your choices” below.

Analytics, advertising and your choices

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the Site is used: pages and products viewed, cart activity and completed purchases (order number, amounts and items). Google sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*) that identify your browser, not you.

We use Google Ads to show our products on Google and measure which ads lead to sales. If you arrive from one of our ads, a cookie (_gcl_*) remembers the ad click. When you order, we tell Google the order number and amount, plus your email, phone, name and address in scrambled (hashed) form so Google can match the sale to the ad (“enhanced conversions”). We may also show our ads to people who have visited the Site. We don’t sell your information for money.

Your choices: the “Your Privacy Choices” link at the bottom of every page turns analytics and/or advertising off. Turning advertising off opts you out of the sale or sharing of your information for targeted ads. We honor Global Privacy Control browser signals automatically, and you can manage Google’s ad settings at adssettings.google.com. Email marketing

If you sign up for our emails or tick the box at checkout, we store your email address and name with Mailchimp, our email provider, and send you our weekly drop and offers. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing stops marketing email immediately. Order and transfer emails (confirmations, arrival and pickup notices) are part of the service and are sent regardless.

Age attestation

The Site asks visitors to confirm they are 18 or older. If you choose to be remembered, a cookie (sr_age_ok) stores that answer for 30 days. It contains no personal information.

Order fulfillment and firearm transfers

To fulfill an order we share the details needed with the shipping carrier, the distributor that ships the item, our payment processor and, for firearms and NFA items, the licensed dealer you choose to receive the transfer. Federal law requires us to keep firearm transaction records (ATF Form 4473 and our acquisition and disposition records) for the period the law sets; those records are kept at our licensed premises and are never sold.

Security and hosting

The Site is served through Cloudflare, which processes visitor IP addresses to block attacks and cache pages, and is hosted by SiteGround. Card details are entered on our payment processor’s secure form and are not stored on our servers.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete your account data, by emailing [email protected]. We verify the request and respond within 45 days. Records we must keep under federal firearms law are excluded from deletion.

Changes to this privacy policy

Sherman & Rose has the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time. When we do, we will revise the updated date at the bottom of this page. We encourage Users to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this privacy policy periodically and become aware of modifications.

Your acceptance of these terms
